I have two 9 week old EEs and this is my first go with EEs- My kids and I are stressing because they both appear to have "saddle feathers" but also look like they have single pea combs (which would be ladies, right?) and I know I can just wait for them to either crow or lay an egg but we are a no-roo zone and love these two so much we want to keep them forever!
Snowdrop is the grey one and Liz is the brown one:

All chickens, male or female, have saddle feathers. However, the males will develop pointy, shiny saddle feathers (9 weeks is a little too young to see the male-specific feathers to come in).

Your brown one is definitely a pullet. Her coloring is very typical of female EEs.

Your grey one also looks like a pullet to me.

Both have small, pale combs and even color patterns. Good signs they're both female.

Thank you- the brown one was sold to us as a Cream Legbar but when her head pouf didn't come in I posted here and found out she was an EE- she's super sweet and we love her! I'm really rooting for all girls this go-round. We had to re-home a roo last time and it was sad to see him go!
