The only two colors I could find that resembled some of their coloring in their cross were RIR or Brown leghorn...Or maybe brown red phoenix?

1.Zephora at one week:

2.Zephora at 9 wks who we originally thought was a female... but is beginning to look rooish to me...DD doesn't want to believe she could be a he:

4. Sora at 9wks who we believed to be a roo has a much shorter tail and the comb and wattles grew to this length and stayed there. If he has brown leghorn then possibly a female? Dunno

I questioned about these two when they were younger but just been curious about what breed other than EE they may be as they are turning out so pretty.

OMG Sorry all but my 17 yo DD has been bugging me daily if anyone has taken a shot at what gender her Zephora is and what may be mixed in her/him other than just being a EE mix, so I'm bumping up to see if she gets any hits. Thanks all.

They both look rooish to me, but if you want to keep hoping - Zephora might be female. She sure does have long black shiny tail feathers though... I'd say they were Easter Egger mixes, I've had some that were straight combed and clean faced. Probably mixed with a RIR or New Hampshire Red.

RIR or NHR seem to match them the best....But yes I believe they are rooish both of them, shh kids don't want to hear that though, we'll have to give them away. But they won't go far, the librarian at DSs school takes my males, she lives on 5 acres and has another 50 acres on the lake that she takes the mean ones to so they have plenty of room, and we can visit them this way too.
