EE girls or boys?

Both cockerels.

They appear to be silver. The silver gene is expressed differently in the males and females. The male will start to get the silvery white feathers in the hackles and saddles right away, where a female usually is a brown color.

I bet if you ask your BYC friend what color pattern her rooster is, it will be silver.

This is my silver EE roo. I was told he was a splash ameraucana. Since I don't know if the "splash" coloring is an actual Ameraucana color, I call him an EE.

When I first posted this pic, the BYC guesses were that it was a pullet.

curious why everyone said the first was a boy...at what age do they get the pointy saddle feathers? and aren't boy wing feathers more pointy on boys? I'm new at this so I was just wondering. The second one definitely looked like a boy to me.

yes he is 100% amaraucana, blue is the most common color and when you breed 2 blue chickens together you get=
50% blue
25% splash
and 25% black colored chicks

I was thinking the first looks like a pullet and the second like a roo (I was looking at the pointy feathers around the neck). As you can see though, everyone has different opinions. You'll know for sure in a few weeks.

chickenlover, thanks for the info on coloring. The guy had a blue roo and a blue hen, so knowing what I know now, I can pick some chicks for color next time.
