EE or Barred Rock Egg?

Im 95% sure it is out of the Easter Egger! Oh well, i was hoping for blue or green but she is a happy pretty hen and is producing so no reason to complain.
I do have a breader of Black Ameracaunnas ner by that has some pullets for sale. those will give me blue.

So, I have two EEs. When they began laying, one laid a green egg and the other laid thin shelled and cracked cream or pinkish eggs. Then, all of the sudden she began laying green eggs. I don't know exactly how this works, but I was thinking maybe those first eggs just didn't have the color painted on in the internal egg factory yet. So, if my theory is correct, you might still get a green egg from her.

OHHHH that would be so cool! She is all white with the cheek tuffs. as a chick she was pale yellow with some black face marks. I thought that maybe the light feather color was related to the light egg color.

They are still creamy pink but getting larger and darker. Very round egg compaired to my Buff Orp that is very pointy.

I hope this does not start a debate, I'm just sharing what I'v learned and family have learned over many generations of raising barred rocks!

Its good you got an egg and enjoy!

I have 6 barred rocks and 4 Australorps. The barred rocks all lay nice cream color and the australorps lay a darker brown egg. I have 2 ee's that are going on 27 weeks old and have yet to start.
