There is not always blood in poop with Coccidiosis. Runny/watery poop can be an indication of Cocci, but hot weather and not eating properly can cause this also. Do not use other medications when treating for Cocci. Symptoms of Coccidiosis runny/watery poop, fluffed feathers, lethargic. Dosage for Corid powder is 1/2 tsp per gallon of water, Dosage for Corid liquid is 2 tsp per gallon of water. Treat all chicks for 5 days,do not give vitamins during treatment(interferes with medication)give vitamins after treatment.I have been suspecting cocci, but not a single trace of blood in any poo i can find (and i have found lots). I also read about watery/runny poo in the heat, and have seen what it does to them about two weeks ago when it got into the high 90s, browinish green, but liquified. This, however, has started during cooler weather (70s instead of 90s), and neither of the other two have poop anywhere near this clear or runny. I mean, seriously, it looks like water with a few pieces of undigested feed in it! would not have believed it was poo if i hadnt seen it come out of her ***! Any other thoughts? Thanks!
Dan
I just looked at your other post, feather loss appears to just be molting. Chicks do go through a molt when young. Alarming when you notice all these feathers, but completely normal.
