I have a clean faced EE that lays a mint green egg. I also have a BCM rooster and I'm about to set some eggs. I'm wondering if it is possible that the offspring will have bearded faces? Will they have clean legs or feathered? BMC has feathered shanks.

you are about to hatch Olive Eggers.. congrats... the Beard gene is a dominant one, if the parent lacks it then their chicks will also lack it.. as for the feathered shanks? its dominant, but the chicks having only one copy of the gene will have less amount of feathering on the shanks... oh and your chicks will hatch like Black copper maran chicks hatch(color wise) but the females with the pea comb will the Olive eggers, single comb females have a very small chances of laying green/Olive eggs(about 3% chance)

So your saying I could get a mixture of pea comb (olive eggers) and single comb (some other color egg) from the same hen and rooster, same clutch?
