EE Roo or hen please?

Really? I've never seen one like that before! I love those spots

I'm going with pullet because the comb isn't very pronounced. And i wouldn't worry too much about those saddley feathers near the tail - real saddle feathers are much more pointy and thin... and usually come in later (in my experience). All my EE hens have faux "saddle" feathers.

I wouldn't worry -- those feathers on your pullet are rounded. This EE looks like of ugly in this pic (bad pic and she's panting, but it shows some of those long, 'rounded' feathers you can see on some young pullets)

This polish is also a female, even though her feathers hint at being pointed - her saddle feathers are actually rounded.

Well hello there! I'm giving away some of my pullets this morning but she doesn't want any boys. I think I will leave this one home just in case. I'll keep you posted later if I see eggs or hear crowing going on.

Putting my vote on the Roo side. Look at those saddle feathers, and the feathers coming in on the wings. I had 2 EE girls this color. Neither of them were anywhere near that 'Flashy'. Especially for that age.

One of my birds I used to have. This is at about 7 months old.

One of them was actually the first to crow.

I've never seen an EE roo with that particular coloring. Do you have pictures of yours that you could post?

Trust me, they are definitely roos. They are ~10wks old. I was really surprised with one, thinking for sure he was a she, but he was my first chicken to crow.
