I do have another post about ALL of my juvenile chickens but these are the only two who look different this week, .. so I am starting a new thread with just these two girls..boys...chickens... these guys...gals...suddenly have these new funky tail feathers and I am wondering if they're the saddle sort of feathers people mention.

I am almost certain Philadelphia is a roo, but thought maybe Concord was a pullet...but with the new tail feathers... I just don't know..then again, their momma's have some crazy tail feathers too (pics of momma's in this thread https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=7610746#p7610746 ).

They are 7 weeks old

Thank you!

Philly is 100% boy, Concord is 70% boy.

For future reference, it helps better to get a photo of the back, right between the wings, instead of the tail.

hope this helps with the saddle and hackle feathers (this is what they look like on a roo, mine have always gotten in hackle feathers between 7-9 weeks and saddle feathers around 3-5 months) alson on pullets/hens these feathers are round...
