EE Rooster. Snoopy, 16 weeks, very green legs and real sweet. Free to a good home. Bought as a female but that didn't turn out so well. No crowing yet but I'm not allowed to have roosters in my town and there's a neighbor who's going to call the minute he does. He already called about the coop within a day of it going up, so no matter how much I don't want to, Snoopy must go! I was told if animal control comes they confiscate and put down so I'm pretty worried. Long Island, NY area, willing to take a drive to get him to you!

I had 3 rooster that I had to give away and asked my local feed supplier if he knew of anyone. Good luck !

Maybe Wayne at Long Island Poultry can help? I buy chicks from him and I know he takes back roosters if you get an accidental. He may not take the rooster from you but he may know someone that will. Or you could try Doube D Farm in Manorville, they take unwanted farm animals. I would love to take him, I’m in Patchogue but I also have accidental roosters (2 of them!). I taked to one of my neighbors and they’re cool with the one that’s crowing. But we’ll see how long that lasts :fl Wish the town would allow them!

I know, it makes no sense, yet Islip is allowed 15 chickens including roosters. I picked up the cock collar from Australia in case he starts crowing, I'm hoping I can find a good home before that. I'm willing to drive to Connecticut, eastern Pennsylvania, north New Jersey and half way upstate New York.

Are you in town of Brookhaven? I’m just wondering how many of us in the town want to be able to keep more chickens and roosters. Just noticed my neighbors have a cockerel that hasn’t started crowing yet. Should start a petition going and send to the town!

Any luck finding him a home? He’s so handsome, I really wish I could take him.

Do you still have your rooster? Do you have a picture of him? I'm in Sullivan County, NY, not that far. I have 14 chickens at home and have had roosters before. Looking for a friendly one.

Sorry, I had to find a home for him fast. Your's sounds like it would have been ideal too, just hoping he's doing good at his new home. He was really sweet and we miss him.
