I have 2 great chickens, but I still don't know if they are hens or roos. Would they be crowing by now if they were roos? Can you tell gender by these photos?

Thanks!

I'm going to say cockerels on both of them. On both, I see pointed hackle feathers. Red in the comb/face at this early age. The hint of sickle feathers on the darker bird. So that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

My thought was roo also.

I have a BWA X BBLP and he looks like these guys.

I had hoped for hens since we can't keep roosters in town. Thanks for the reply, though. I am new to chicken keeping and I don't know how to ID roos. Your information is helpful.

I'm thinking pullets. That's a lot poofier crest that my polish mixes have had, and mine have all been males. Here's my EExpolish cockerel to compare, about the same age.
