EEs due to start laying any day now

My EEs are now 24 weeks old. Any chance this summer's awful heat will delay the onset of their laying? I've been looking forward to their eggs for some time now.

Are their combs red and plump? Are they confined to where you know they are not hiding a nest under some shrubbry?

Yes - plump combs (I'll post a picture tomorrow), and the ground on their run is flat.

EEs tend to start late mine started last year at about 30 weeks.
