Effective on weeds, but safe for chickens?

Recommendations on effective weed killer that is safe for my chickens? As much as I'd like to use some 2, 4, D on them I am guessing this would be bad for my girls and their roo.

2, 4, D is bad for everyone! Your birds will enjoy munching on the various plant and bugs out there, and won't benefit from any weed killers. Mary
