Efficeint Pasture Ducks

I raise geese. My extra ganders I have butchered for myself and friends, which has led to additional people asking me for goose/duck. My only duck experience is from a mixed pair given me by a neighbor (feedstore ducks) which have access to pasture, but still rely heavily on commercial feed. My geese, however, are the opposite. In spring, summer, and most of fall they eat minimal commercial feed and derive most of their nutrition from pasture with free choice supplements.

What duck, in your opinion, is best suited for a pasture production model?

My Muscovy are like your geese, during Spring, Summer & Fall they eat more in the field & creek than they do of the commercial feed.

they have always stayed nice & fat. My drake was almost 15lbs in the summer.
