So I had my first experience with egg bound today after coming home from work. Thank goodness for the help on this site, as after just some gentle internal manipulation she passed the egg.
She is still acting sluggish, so I was wandering if there is anything else I should do for her or does she just need some time to recover? Should I still give her the calcium in case she has an issue with the next egg? The egg was big, but I have seen bigger. I hadnt realized as I thought it was one of the other hens that had been ill a few weeks back, but it appears she is having some issues with her "spray can". Do I need to be concerned about anything. She is about a year old now. THANKS EVERYONE!
