Egg Bound? Help Needed.

What ARE the symptoms of egg bound.?

 
My 8  some my 8 girls just  just started laying  2 weeks ago  ...hthers the brahamas i think are tring today. One was making a lot of noice and reall y yelling in a differnt way  than the pothers have. ..then got quieter in her clucking and then stopped. i did find an egg but they all 8 share the same 3 nests so dont know who it was. Would she stop laying if she was?

Yes she would stop laying. I think mine was showing signs of infection from a broken egg instead of egg binding.

Signs of egg binding include straining, slowness, prolapse from straining, ruffled up feathers, their eyes are closed... etc. I have had 1 hen egg bind. It was the worst experience. She prolapsed and passed away two weeks after we got the egg out, because we didn't think to treat any infection that could have resulted.

If she is egg bound, she won't poop. At least nothing big. She will try though.
