Egg Bound hen need help asap

I don't know what to do....I gave her a warm bath and gave her a massage...I'm giving her water do I feed her? What can I do to help?

I am having the same problem with one of my hens right now and nobody is replying to me either. My grandmother used to run a hatchery and she told me to keep feeding her and giving her water and just see what happens. I don't want to just sit back and let her die though. I hope we can get an answer soon!

Me either...she is my largest hen and lays the most beautiful eggs. I really do not want to loose her.

I just popped the egg out of her in one piece. She did a lot of pushing and I did the final push for her. Try to massage you bird and give her a warm bath I hope your bird does well.

Question though. How did you go about giving her a bath? As long as I've had chickens I've never had to give one a bath. In the sink and just get her bottom in there? Thanks!

Yes just put her in the sink maybe put a wash cloth under her so her feet don't slip around. Make sure its not cold water or hot but warm water. And just massage her abdomen...like workhe egg to the front. If you have some electrolytes that will help her (I didn't have any) dry her off with a fowl or help her by blow drying her. But don't burn her.
