I've been treating this hen for a couple of weeks. She was found with a poopy butt and after soaking I discovered that her vent was crusted up, possibly due to undetected vent gleet.
When first discovered.

After several soakings this was the last stage I left her at before the weather got so very cold that I decided to stop applying Nu-stock to her vent and skipped one of her soaking sessions. I had been applying Nu-stock to her vent twice daily and soaking twice a week.

She went into the nest box this morning at 7:30 and is now having extreme difficulty passing the egg that is right at her vent.

She's struggling and I don't know if the tissue is going to stretch enough to allow the egg to pass. I've applied a liberal amount of coconut oil around the egg and vent. She's had 1/2 a calcium citrate tablet.

Oh goodness. Poor girl.

You've done everything I can think to do. Is there any way you can bring her inside where it's warm? Maybe even try soaking her while she's trying. Warm tissue stretches much easier than cold tissue. Might also relax her.

Let me tag a few others. That way when they get on, they can come take a look.

She's in a warm bath in my bathroom in the video. I keep adding warm water to keep it warm.

Oh no, she looks bad, really bad. Is she inside where it's warm? 80-85 degrees is ideal. Do you know how to tube? Can you still see the egg?
She's in my bathroom. I can't get it to 85. I have space heat with a wood stove. She's starting to bleed.

The egg is right there. The tissue can't stretch to allow it to pass. I'm debating breaking the end of the egg and draining it and letting her crush it and then helping her pull it out with the membrane. I know that that's risky. But I don't think she's going to get this out without some drastic measures.
