I'm not sure if this is the place to post this or not, my apologies, but I think I have an egg bound BO trying to lay for the first time. At first when I saw her poor bottom I thought she had a prolapsed vent, but once I got her into a bath and got a closer look I realized her egg is stuck hanging just outside of her vent. She's had an Epsom salt soak and is in quarantine with water and some scrambled egg. Is there anything else that I can do to help this sweet girl?

The opening was still inside of her. It looked like it had slipped out before it got to the opening of her inner membrane, creating a stretched out pocket of the membrane. I worked and worked to try and maneuver it to find the opening but never could. We had to cull her, poor thing.

I'm so sorry, I was afraid that might happen :hugs

Tough but the right choice was made I think.
