Egg bound or broody?

Broody hens stop laying. If they continued it would result in a disastrous staggered hatch. Nature has common sense.

That makes sense! I may try to break her broody cycle unless I “forget” she has an egg under her and just tell my significant other she won’t come out of the box haha
