One of my girls has been relentlessly hanging out in her nesting box, laying on some of my other girls eggs. She had not laid an egg in 3 days. When I approach her in the coop she starts clucking and puffs her feathers, but let’s me move her to grab the eggs no problem. I’m almost certain she’s broody, but is straining quite a bit as if she’s trying to lay. I felt around her abdomen and vent last night and couldn’t feel an egg. Could she be egg bound or is she just broody? (I’ve never had a broody hen before so not 100% sure of the signs!)
