Hello All,
This past Thursday I thought my hen was egg bound because she presented all the suspicious symptoms. I immediately took her inside and ran a bath. Before I could get her in the water, an egg popped out of her, bounced off my leg and ran to the floor. I was surprised but happy it passed and put her back with everyone. She perked back up and seemed fine afterwards.

Tonight though I notice she was off again and did the exact same thing. This time I got her in h bath and real soon a shell less egg popped out. This time I’m keeping her inside tonight to sleep and will see what she’s like tomorrow.

But my question is, is something else going on? Her vent is always dribbling during these occurrences with this yellowish white secretions. I’m attaching a photo for help. Please advise!

Haha, hey thanks for asking.
I ended up putting her in the tub and almost immediately she passed the egg.
Shes had this issue a few more times since, but every time I just put her in water and she passes what’s usually a soft shelled egg pretty quickly. After a couple hours she’s back to normal. It’s real strange 🤷🏻‍♀️

That’s great!! Egg bound and prolapse are my biggest fears other than hawks of course. I’m so glad to hear/read it can turn out ok. Thank you
