Egg bound?!? Please help!

One of our girls was laying down I'm not looking right. We found this underneath her tail feathers. It doesn't look like a prolapse, what do you think it is and what can we do for her?

We gave her 2 Tums pills and an epsom soak for an hour. She's having contractions.. so far egg hasn't moved up so we can at least see it.


I thought it was egg bound... but that swelling isn't where the oviduct is. Wifey said she saw her crapping up a storm. Should I give her some milk of magnesia?

Update.. I don't feel an egg, but she's super lethargic!

She'll stand, but won't move and eat now.

This sounds a lot like what happened to put Bluey. If you can, get her to a Vet ASAP as it could be an infection and with antibiotics she may have a fighting chance.

It was kidney cancer. She had two hard masses. We put her down so she didn't suffer.
