My girl is egg bound. I can feel the egg , and the vent area is protruding. I gave her two epsom salt baths, tried to massage it around a little bit, put vaseline on the opening, and gave her calcium and yogurt. She will still eat, and is able to poop some. I tried to insert my finger a bit to feel around, bu couldn't get in at all. I can't really take her to the vet, so any help of what I could do?

Keep on repeating everything you have done. Give her some more calcium, repeat warm bath with Epsom salts. If the vent is swollen you can try some Prep H to reduce swelling and hopefully let the egg ease out...

Is there a point in time where it's better to take the chance and break it and try to get it out that way? When would that be?
After 24-36 hours. This is a high risk thing, you have to try and get the whole thing out.
Some people recommend using a syringe (no needle) to poke a hole and suck out the contents, but since your egg is visible I think you could just make the hole and let it drain a bit before trying to get the shell out. Good luck and let us know how it goes....:fl

This is her this morning. She is able to poop still. Still eating. But I was able to get my finger in on the bottom right and there was poop on my glove. But I cannot find an opening to the actual egg. It's right there, and I can feel it, but there is tissue between my finger and the egg. So I don't think she's going to pass this on her own. It's been too long. So should I try to do an incision on it? If so, where would you suggest? Thanks.

I didn't probe very hard there. To the right of your arrow and down is where I could get my finger in any distance. I will try again to probe that area and see if I can find an opening. Where I was able to get my finger in and inserted all the way, is there another opening that I should be able to find?

She wasn't happy with what I was doing, but she's doing unbelievably well considering.

No, I would not try to go back on the side.
The oviduct is "up" and the intestines are "down" those meet at the Cloaca (Vent), nothing on each side.

I wasn't able to get through where you had the arrow at all. And she was quite unhappy when I was poking around that area. I will let her rest a bit. So what likely is the red tissue that's showing there?

I think I will try to go into the hole I was able to get my finger in and try harder to go upwards and find an opening to the egg.

Any other suggestions?

The red tissue is the vagina, shell gland, oviduct and/or intestines - her inner works are sticking out.
You will want to keep any exposed tissue moist - you can use coconut oil, honey, prep h, vaseline - whatever you have on hand really just so that tissue doesn't dry out.
