I have a very lethargic immobile 2 yr old Silver laced Wyandotte hen called Allsorts who has been very out of sorts for ten dats now . I took her to the vet yesterday who says she has an egg stuck in her. Any tips on how to get her to lay it?????

Try soaking her in a container of warm water up to her sides. Gently massage her underside front to rear while she's soaking. Do this for about 20 minutes.
The warm water will relax and expand her innards, the massaging may help move the egg along. You can apply a little olive oil to her vent area or just inside the vent to make it easier to lay the egg. Continue soaking in warm water and massaging as needed.

Good advice from @dawg53. Just make sure to be very gentle because you want to bring out the egg intact. Breaking it inside her can cause major problems.

When one of my ducks was egg bound, it literally took hours of soaking before she passed the egg, so have patience. Good luck with your girl.

How is she doing?
Can she poop?
Was the vet not able to help her with the stuck egg? She could feel it inside the cloaca (vent)?

No course of treatment suggested by the vet?
