Egg Bound up chicken

I've been reading some of the posts about egg bound chickens. I am having trouble catching her and using the oil to possibly expel her egg. Any suggestions on how to catch her, so I can treat her. Planning on using the hot steamy water under her cage. This has never happened to me before. Thanks for any help.

Wait until it gets dark and she goes to the coop to roost. It will be easier to get hold of her than and less stressful than being chased around.

Thanks. That's what we ended up doing. Having some problem with the oil. No experience in that area. I put a pan of hot water under the cage and a light. Crushed a tums, dissolved in water and gave her some of that for the calcium. I feel totally helpless in this situation. I just hope she manages to pass an egg. If anyone can give me some advice on the oil part. I sure would appreciate it.
