Egg bound with soft shell - what should I do?

Apologies if this has been posted previously but I'm a bit anxious!

Hen is 2 years old ex-bat chicken, previously good layer but she has recently been laying soft shelled very large eggs. Today she has sat in the nest box very quietly for about 5 hours. She doesn't appear to be straining etc and has come out with some coaxing for meal worms and a drink. She is however sat with her bottom in the air and her abdomen seems a bit bloated.

Any advice? I've read previous posts about helping egg bound but I'm concerned because its probably a soft shelled one. is it any different for that? How long should I leave it before intervening??

P.s I'm very attached to her....
