We have an approx. 7 month old silkie bantam hen whom I am very worried about. She won't leave the nesting box and has been in it all day. Twice we did get her out, she walked fine, are food and went out in the run. Each time, when we went back to check in her, she was back in the nesting box. I have her via a syringe water with electrolytes twice but don't know what else to do!!!!

I think she went broody

Silkies are a very broody breed she probably just wants to hatch some chickies.
There are a couple of ways to break broodies, but I have never tried to,
nothing to worry about it happens all the time

I think you are right!!!!!!! Thank you so much and the article was great. She is doing most of what they described as symptoms! What a relief!!
