My hen is egg bound. She has tried to lay her egg for at least 6-7 days now and I can definitely feel an egg in there. I can't feel the shell directly, it almost feels like it's between some connective tissue. At this point can I do anything to save her? She is acting fine and eating and drinking but I know she needs to get the egg out. Help!

Update! I guess inspecting her was all she needed for a push because I found her GIANT egg laying in the yard. It was a double yolk the size of a duck egg. Phew!!
Wow, that's great news, so glad she laid the egg.
