Hi just wanted to know if my duck is egg bound she’s 5 months old and I’ve noticed something under her for maybe a week or two is this normal? Any advice is really appreciated!

Something under her? like her belly is hanging down? Has she laid any eggs at all yet? What do you feed and do you offer oyster shells? How is she acting? if eggbound the will walk similar to a penguin their vent will pulse and they usually will either stay in the nest or go back and forth to it.

Yes feels like maybe a egg towards her bottom, she hasn’t laid yet so that’s why I’m wondering if she might be coming into laying, she eats wheat but I’m giving her some peas as treats. When she walks it’s like she’s waddling! But her coop is basically a chicken coop and off the floor she doesn’t like going up there without the other ducks

Does the coop have a wide ramp if not that might help to get her to lay inside when she starts to lay. She may be getting ready to lay she is def at the age to start. But wheat is not a complete feed she will need either a layer or oyster shells and an all flock put oyster shells close to their feed but not in it they use it as needed. But she is going to need the extra calcium.

This is the coop , I’ve noticed she’s laying next to the coop more often. No ducks where in the coop at the time😂
