I have a 17 month old hen who was having laying issues. Two months ago she slowed down laying then nothing.
About a week ago she laid a soft shelled egg then two days later another. Two days after that I had given her calcium d3 and she had a very thin shelled egg then two days later another soft. Nothing for the past 4 days. Today she is just standing around not hanging with the flock much she pooped earlier today but now just a little liquid here and there this evening. I gave a calcium tablet I. Some egg attempted poultry cell so she got maybe a quarter of a ml of that. I do not know what to do.

I am not sure whether she is egg bound or not but it sounds like she probably is, especially if she is not pooping correctly. What breed is she? Breeds and hybrids (especially the latter) bred for egg production commonly get egg bound, as well as a variety of other vent issues.

I took a peek in the coop and she is definitely pushing and I’m not sure what I was expecting but vent is puffy as well. I assume the calcium pill does this?
What are next steps? I did put Vaseline on her as well.

She is an EE

Have you given her Calcium Citrate+D3 today? If not, give that now, then once daily for several more days.

Is she beginning to molt?
What's her crop feel like?

I did. Just this evening.
She does not seem to be molting
Crop felt soft earlier.
I'd just re-check the crop again in the morning to see that it's emptied.

It's good that you got the Calcium into her, hopefully she'll be able to lay an egg or pass more material.

If she does, get some photos of the egg, material or her poop if possible.

Ok I will. Should I continue to check on her through the night?

I crushed the calcium in scrambled egg and she ate most of it so almost a full tablet.
I’m terrified for her. When I was out there last with the red light it seemed like her interior vent tissue was in the way of anything to be able to come out but a small amount of poop did pass. She looked like she was pushing pretty hard. Is this normal?
