Egg-bound!!

My 8month old Lightning girl is egg-bound. Today she was in the nesting box and was pushing for about ten minutes before she gave up and left the box. She still is egg bound and occasionally pushes and is active. There is an egg in there, I can see and feel it. What should I do!!!

Unfortunately no, but I have oyster shells

Calcium Citrite is fast acting. Oyster shells isn't gonna help much in this situation.

How is she physically? If she's perky enough you could give her belly a warm soak.

A Pullet of mine laid her first egg today, & it's a double yolker.

She had no issue. But your girl could be struggling to pass one of these.

Yes, she's still active, this was only like 15 minuets ago. She doesn't seem to be pushing anymore and isn't really like puffed out or bloated or whatever.

Another pullet (same age) laid a second egg - a double yolk today as well - no problems

Ok, I'll try that. BTW I think I see an egg, but I doesn't feel hard. Could It be one of those with no shell? Would pictures of her vent help?
