egg bound?

yesterday all my hens were fine and running around doing what chickens usually do, today i woke up to find my favorite easter egger dead in the run. We dont have any predators besides hawks and the common dog. Our run is predator proof so i know nothing killed her. she dident have any bite wounds or anything she was just dead so i checked her vent and it was severly swollen and blueish with a rotten smell to it. Could she have died from egg bound she was 32 weeks old and began laying at 20 weeks.
