Egg broke inside chicken..anyone know how to help?

Our chicken had yolk dripping from her vent. We think an egg may have broken inside her, we have know idea what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry about your hen.
Can you tell if she's been able to expel the membrane?
How is she acting?
Is she pooping?

I would start giving Extra Calcium asap. This will help her expel membrane/shell if there's any to expel.
Work on hydration, keep her drinking. If she has yolk dripping from the vent, then I'd consider giving an antibiotic to help prevent infection. Amoxicillin is a good choice. Dose is 57mg per pound of weight given orally twice a day for 10 days.

You can find Calcium Citrate with D3 in the vitamin aisle of stores like Walmart, CVS, etc. Give 1 tablet daily, just pull down on her wattles, pop the tablet into the beak and let her swallow.

She is actually fine so far! We weren't able to get antibiotics without a prescription so we were lucky it resolved itself. Thank you
