Egg Candling Pictures-Day 1 through Day 18. (update:LOST my hen pg.4)

I regret to report that the only SSH hen that I kept from this hatch disappeared this weekend. I think the responsible party was likely a hawk as there was no evidence left behind. She was 12 weeks old. Poor Greta, RIP pretty girl.

I do intend to breed my SSH roo, Simon, with the three SSH hens I gave to my neighbor (who lives 2 houses down from me).

Thanks. It's such a sad thing when you hatch them from eggs and they don't even get a chance to lay their first egg before they're gone.

I was secretly hoping she had gotten scared and ran away but would return. But, alas, four days later she is gone for good I'm sure.

Here are some updated photos of the roosters from this hatch:
This is Simon. He lives with us:

First timer incubating....Can anyone tell me what it means when the yolk "sticks" on one side and doesn't move? It looks like there is a viable chick present, i.e. black spot is moving by itself. Thank you.
