egg candling question

Having never candled fertile eggs, I've tried absorbing all the charts here on the forums, but I have a question for you all that I've not found an answer to yet.

I've candled the eggs under my two broodies and found a few infertile, so tossed them, but I candled a few that have veins, but have dark spots that are apparently stuck to the shell and do not move. There is one egg that I candled that has a moving embryo in it.

The eggs are 10 and 11 days old. Are the eggs with stuck spots bad eggs?

Time will tell. In my experience, when the embryo does not move freely in the egg, or when it just moves in relation to your moving the egg, it's dead. Are you seeing any chick movement in those eggs?????

I'm not sure since I can't see it but you should see movement. On day 10 it's harder to see then day 7 but if you slowly turn and look carefully even up to 30 seconds you should see some movement wether it's veins moving or the black/darker part vibrating. I would maybe go back on day 14 and see if there is any change. I just did the day 14 candling and saw slow movement in mine but it took a little bit to see.

In three, the dark splotch remains in one spot and doesn't move when I turn the egg. They do have visible air pockets, but no movement. Only one egg that I have looked at actually had a moving embryo.

I would see if there is change on day 14- there probably won't be but at least you will be more sure about discarding

They are also brown eggs, so they're harder to see anything. I just see the dark splotch on the browns.

Or, I could use a better flashlight. Just looked again with a brighter light and all have movement!
