Egg Carton Method- Questions!

Hello everyone. I might get an incubator and know a little of the egg carton method. Can someone please teach me about it?

-How do the chicks hatch in it?
-Does it make hatching harder for the chick?
-Do I lay the eggs on the carton or set them in the slots bottom up?
-I ripped off the bottom of three egg cartons and glued them together. Will this work?

How do the chicks hatch in it?...................................................................................they will find they way trough
Does it make hatching harderchick?............................................................It is easier for the chick ,because the shell is steady
-Do I lay the eggs on the carton or set them in the slots bottom up?......................Just put the eggs with the small end down
-I ripped off the bottom of three egg cartons and glued them together. Will this work? .. dont make so many changes


I incubate quails in the cartons 42 out of 44 hatched
