egg carton question?

Could eggs being on their sides for 18 days to the egg carton mess them up some how? Because I can't understand whats going wrong with my hatch. Temp and humidity was great all 18 days and also for hatching. Idk what eles to think.

but that does not tell me if incubating them on their sides for 18 days and then putting them on the egg carton the last 3 days makes a difference.

the only reason to put them in cartons i can think of is to keep them from moving around, and so they know which end to pip. i use the carton way, and it makes clean up a lot faster when hatch is over with too. and i don't think it would hurt them. william
