I purchased some egg cartons from a sponsor for this site (I can't remember who it was, now). My eggs are too large for the cartons. Does anyone know of cartons that would fit for the large eggs produced by the Jumbo Brown Coturnix?

chicken egg carton should hold them

Vickie, I feel bad because a while back, somebody asked for a place to get quail egg cartons, and I put up a link to the quail cartons from Flemmings. Then shortly after that, my wife pointed out that 50% of our eggs were so big, they wouldn't fit in the quail rails that we were putting them in to "size them up". She then told me that we should just use chicken egg cartons, but since we havent purchased eggs in so long, we ended up picking some up from Tractor supply company for 50 cents each.

I send eggs home with my daughter. My grandson has problems with allergies and we were adding goat milk and quail eggs to his diet to see if it would help. She has 3 small boys, 5 and under, so I needed something I could put them in that she could safely get home. (that's why I probably wouldn't try the flats. That would be a disaster just waiting to happen... :) ) I'm using the quail egg cartons right now, but don't try shutting them all the way. I put a rubber band around them to keep them closed and it's been working so far. I can try the regular size egg cartons. I'll let her decide what she likes best.

Reedgirl20, do the paper cartons you use close? The only thing I can find there for quails are the plastic cartons for the smaller eggs, or the paper flats.
