My blue barnevelder about 18 weeks old had an egg dangling from her vent it was encasedin membrane. There was considerable blood I put her in a warm tub with a bit of soap and soaked her for few minutes I gently pushed the egg back in and a bit sideways to line it up with the vent. I could see shell and not membrane. She pushed and I gently squeazed it out. Her vent looks swollen and tender but no blood on the outside. It didn’t look like she was still bleeding on the exposed membrane. I applied a small amount of prep h and am going to separate her from the flock for a few days. I’d like to stop egg laying for a while too so I’ll trykeep herspace dark. She’s very subdued right now. Not shaking or anything but she’s not too keen on being held and she’s sitting quietly in my arms. Any help or suggestions would be helpful.thx
