OK, I am stumped. My girls have been laying for a few weeks now and I can't get clean eggs! I completely stripped and cleaned their house and refilled it with shavings, a nice thick layer of them, I still got dirty eggs! Is there anyway to get decently clean eggs? I don't want to have to wash the ones I am going to set in the incubator but I don't want to worry about bacteria either. Also, for selling eggs, I wash the eggs, but don't scrub them. If I scrub them they get nice and bright white, otherwise you can see faint staining, still white, but not as bright. Should I scrub them or are they ok clean, but slightly stained?
