I know that EEs are breed for their egg colors. I am interested to know if there is a standard for eggs for showing. Are there people that breed exclusively for egg color not chicken type. IE say I want a few pullets that will lay pink eggs or blue eggs, Or eggs that are smooth and even, irregardless of the breed.

I've not seen many eggs at shows. Usually they are looking for the SOP.

of course, many breeders DO breed for egg color, size, frequency. It's all good.

Many fairs have egg competitions. I've never participated in them, but most look for uniformity in the eggs (size, color, etc).
