Egg color change?

This was very odd last summer....

Maybe...my Cornish Bantam was laying both a large egg and a small egg almost every day. Very doubtful.

Or, maybe something happened to change the pigment of my RSL egg.

Somethings I do know.

1 The feed was the same throughout
2 The other eggs were all the expected colors, speckling etc.
3 This hen never showed any change in behavior, posture or anything else.
4 She is back to laying eggs that are the expected color. Brown
5 The eggs were otherwise as they should be, just lighter color
6 No other birds got in with my flock.

Any ideas?

No clue. Chickens do weird things. I’ve been routinely getting eggs the size and color of pennies from my flock, even though all of the bantams lay white or blue eggs.
