If I breed an olive egger hen (legbar x welsumer) back to a welsumer rooster, should I expect all shades of olive or possibly some dark brown layers?

50% of the hens will be Dark Olive and 50% will be Dark Brown

When you keep breeding back to Welsummer the egg keeps getting darker

The only drawback is that... You will not know/Can't tell which of those hens are the Olive Eggers or which hen will lay brown eggs until they start laying eggs in 6 month or
Since I am hatching for replacement in my own flock, I'll be happy either way.

I wanna know this but with an olive egger rooster(black am x bcm) over maran hen
I actually wanted to know color of chicks more so

Probably about half of chicks will look black, and about half look black copper.

Depending on what genes the Olive Egger inherited from the Black Ameraucana parent, there is a chance that half of the "black copper" ones may actually show silver instead of the copper color. If the Olive Egger rooster has gold or silver showing in his feathers, that can show what color he could potentially pass on to his chicks. If he looks solid black, you won't know which of those genes he has until you see it in his chicks.
