Nope, just a hiccup in the paint machine. Still trying to work out all the bugs.

Good to know! I thought running out of paint was something that happened as they approached the end of their egg laying careers.

She didn't necessarily 'run out' of coating, sometimes it just doesn't get applied. Was it only one egg...or has it continued??

I have 5 Golden Comets the same age. The egg colors very daily. Some days all eggs are a nice tan and close in size. Other days they can be be different shades from pink to brown. . Some days the size and shape are varied. . GC
Ps the white eggs in the nest are ceramic.
