I bought 4 Delaware hens. They are laying eggs, but one is laying darker and spotted eggs. The others are laying lighter closer to tan or beige colored eggs. Any idea why? I'm not sure which one is laying the darker spotted eggs and the hens don't all look alike.
I have got to get me a camera!

One of my hens (out of a Barred Rock, RIR, and Black Australorp) was laying spotted eggs for a week or two, but now they're all solid colors. I'm not sure why. It may just be something going on in the tract.

Well now nearly headless nick looks like your POW. Except that he has black in his saddle,. to many points on his comb, and black along his wings. He does have the barring in his tail and you can tell theres barring in his neck/shoulder feathers. A bit darker though. I'll try to get picks.
The hens, some have no black on the neck/shoulder area or wings and very little on the tail. the ones from Ideal look nicer.
I'm about to try my hand at hatching and yes the eggs could be called tan or peachy.
I printed the pic so at least I have some idea what to shoot for.
Thanks
