Can the color eggs a chicken lays change? One of our chicks was laying greenish/grey eggs - was supposed to be a Plymoth Rock but I assume she has a little Easter Egger in her. Anyway, our chicks just started laying in November and this one was laying the colored eggs. I haven't gotten one this color in a couple weeks and I don't know if she stopped laying or she is now laying brown eggs like the other 5 hens. Still averaging around two eggs a day, just all brown.

She has stopped laying. Egg color does not change. The exception, when a hen lays a green egg, the egg color may lighten toward the end of her laying cycle. But, the color will not change to another color.

Thanks for the answer. That's what I thought, just wanted to make sure. After all this, I'll probably get home from work today and find that she layed one. Thanks again.
