I'm (im)patiently waiting for my 21 week old EE pullets to start laying. I have three from Meyer Hatchery. They each have different coloring. From reading this forum I know my chances aren't good at getting the pretty light blue eggs, and they'll likely be shades of olive green. What has your experience been? I was counting on blue when I bought the day old chicks!

I have 5EE's from Meyers and all 5 are laying now. They started laying at 17 & 18 weeks old. Here are their eggs that i collected from them today. The brown one at the top is from my Silver Lace Wyandotte, but the rest are from my EE's. I just love Meyers. The rest of my hens are from meyers also and they are also beautiful. My husband thinks our girls laid early because of all the treats i fed them...they just love raisins.

The center egg is from my RIR also from Meyers. Your girls should lay anytime now.

I just seen your coop and run...awesome, your girls are going to be so happy. If you dont get a blue egg from one of your girls just order a couple more EE's in the spring. I bought 4 more EE's that are just 11 weeks old now just to have a different batch of EE's so just get a couple more girls.
