I have 3 hens, 2 Buckeyes and one Lavender Orpington. My Orp. Was the only hen laying but Went into a full moult.. she stopped laying, she still looks pretty bad but she does have new feather growth. So for the last 2 days I’ve had 1 egg each day, first a light brown then a slightly darker brown. Both very long oval in shape. I’m trying to figure out is my Orp. Is back to laying or if one or both of the buckeyes have begun. if the shell color is different, ...and inside of the shell of the lighter one is tinted , and the darker one is white, ...would that indicate 2 different hens? And would the long oval shape indicate a new layer?

They sound different enough to be 2 hens. Sometimes first eggs have a different shape. Other hens may simply have the same shape for all thier egvs.

How old are these birds, in months?
Here's some tips on how to tell...

I'm in Ohio near Toledo. The hens are all 2 yrs this April. My Orp started to molt just before we got that frigid weather. I put a heat lamp in for her and she has faired quite well, I think. I gave her extra scratch esp at night and I have dried minnows that she loves. This is her first molt. She has been a consistent layer of large eggs. The Buckeyes are the same age as her, they started laying on schedule but then just stopped. I had a roo, and he was hard on them. Since then he's gone, but they still are not laying. It's been over a year. I have a camera in the coop. No critters or snakes are stealing the eggs. I know you are going to say they are diseased or something, and I thought of that. Ive spent several hundred $$ with a vet to figure out what's up. He says they are healthy. No parasites, he checked my coop and grounds. I even sacrificed one of the girls for a necropsy which was done at Ohio State. Again, healthy, no disease, or parasites. Just slightly over weight, so they all went on a diet. No more treats. Still no eggs. I have decided that I caused a hormonal imbalance last winter cause I left the light on all night consistently. Now I have put the light on a timer. Im hoping that they will start to lay soon.
Thank you for the video and links! any other insights are much appreciated.
