My two Wyandottes haven't been laying for over a month (one is almost done with molting and the other is just on break), but I found a tan egg in the nest box today after my Barnevelder came out of the coop. The only other chicken we have besides these 3 is an Amerucana, but obviously it's not her egg. The Barnevelder's eggs are always darker tan with spots, but could she have laid a random light tan egg? The egg is about the same size as her's normally are. This happened once before about 2 weeks ago, and I thought my Wyandotte was starting to lay again but now I'm questioning if it's even her. Anybody have any ideas?? or knowledge of Barnevelders?
The egg on the left is the one I found, the ones on the right are what the Barnevelder's normally look like.
