My Barnevelder, Nance, laid her first egg yesterday. First eggs are always a bit smaller and rounder, but this one was by far the smallest I've ever seen! Hopefully you guys get a laugh out of it like I did. It is about the size of a grape!

This weekend we'll crack it open when we make breakfast. I wonder if it even has a yolk.

Congrats, Nance! We're so proud.
Hi, my Winnie and my Goodie have been laying full size eggs from the day they started laying. Then after 5 weeks one of them laid a fairy egg. Is that normal?

I save mine, I have a little collection of about 8 - in 14 years. If you store them in a safe place they will just dry up. Eventually you will hear any tissue inside rattle when you shake it.
ETA, makes a nice keepsake, IMO.
